Appliance Recycling & Disposal in Las Cruces
We do not just dump what we haul — refrigerants handled to code, metal recycled, working units donated, so your old appliance stays out of the landfill.
Hauling Off Is Only Half the Job
Plenty of people will carry an appliance out of your house. What happens after matters just as much — and a surprising amount of it ends up fly-dumped in the desert or jammed into a landfill where the metal and refrigerant do real harm. We route everything we pick up through the responsible channel instead: refrigerant recovered to code, steel and copper to the scrap recycler, and anything still working set aside for donation.
You do not pay extra for it — responsible disposal is just how we do the job. When we drive away, the appliance is genuinely handled, not just out of your sight.
- Refrigerant recovered to code from fridges, freezers, and AC units
- Steel, aluminum, and copper routed to the metal recycler
- Working units donated to local reuse when possible
- Nothing fly-dumped — a real disposal trail, not a desert lot
Why Curbside Will Not Take It
Las Cruces curbside and the transfer station will turn away refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners because of the sealed refrigerant system, and a water heater or a stove is too heavy and awkward for a normal bulk pickup. That gap is the whole reason to call a removal crew — we are the ones set up to take the appliances the city will not, and take them to where they are supposed to go.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do you actually do with the old appliances?
Refrigerant from fridges, freezers, and AC units is recovered to code; the metal goes to a scrap recycler; and working units are donated to local reuse when we can. Nothing gets fly-dumped in the desert.
Is recycling an extra charge?
No. Responsible disposal and recycling are included in the removal price — it is simply how we handle everything we pick up, not an add-on.
Why can’t I just put my fridge at the curb?
Refrigerators, freezers, and AC units hold refrigerant in a sealed system that has to be recovered properly, so curbside and the transfer station will turn them away. That is exactly the kind of appliance we are set up to take.
Can you donate my appliance instead of scrapping it?
If a unit still works and is in decent shape, we would rather donate it to someone who needs one than send it to the recycler. Tell us the condition and we will route it accordingly.
